Welcome to the Museum of Human violence. We are both a physical museum in London, housed in the former Tate Modern Art Gallery, and an online presence. We opened in 2064, thirty years after the Giant Rupture, to record all forms of human violence pre giant rupture.
Our goals are to prioritize narratives of healing, reconciliation, and non-violence, emphasizing stories of recovery and transformation rather than glorifying violence. We aim to serve as a platform for dialogue on prevention and conflict resolution.
We also operate as a community hub, involving local populations in curation and storytelling. Workshops, discussions, and art projects encourage active participation, making the museum a living entity rather than a static repository.
We have a strong focus on ethics, with consideration about how to present sensitive topics responsibly. We are extremely careful about how to depict violence without desensitizing or traumatizing viewers.
