Weksa Nosmada
In their interview on our Homepage, Weksa talks briefly about how they and parents survived the Rupture.
Below are some photographs of the places Weksa mentions in the interview.
- The cave entrance. In 2035 this was difficult to see by anyone walking on the mountainside. It was part of a network of caves running through this part of Northern England that is mostly built on limestone rock.
- The passage inside the cave leading to the larger cavity where the supplies were kept, and where the family hid if Raiders were seen on the slopes of the mountain.
- The cavern inside the cave. Weksa describes this as in many ways, a magical place to get away from what was happening outside.
- The cave was high above this track leading to the barn.
- The barn. The Nosmada’s moved here to be nearer their supplies in the cave, but also because the cottage felt unsafe. The cottage itself is a quarter of a mile further down the mountain from the barn.
